The 2010 IIPC General Assembly meeting was held at the National Library Board Singapore. Open to all IIPC members, the General Assembly focused on the activities and projects of the working groups and other special projects, and including meetings of the Steering Committee.

In conjunction with iPRES, the IIPC held a one
day free event, open to the public, on October 7, 2009, at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco. The theme was "Active Solutions for Preserving Internet Content."

Library and Archives Canada (LAC) hosted, in collaboration with the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) and the Canadian Association of Research Libraries, an open session on preserving Internet content for future generations.


The session entitled "Web Archiving: What, Why and How" was presented by an expert panel from the Library of Congress (U.S.), Internet Archive, and Netarchive in Denmark.


The second half of the morning briefly highlighted web archiving programs from a small number of IIPC member institutions: British Library, California Digital Library, National Library of the Czech Republic, National Library Board (Singapore), National Library of Norway, Bibliothèque nationale de France, National Diet Library (Japan), and Library and Archives Canada.

Mussou presented Ina's approach of collecting, safeguarding and making available the French audiovisual heritage (including related web sites), and discussed IIPC's mission to promote global exchange and international relations for the collection, preservation and availibility of web contents for future generations.
